The Manukan Island Resort is a nice getaway but it's not the secluded tropical paradise one might imagine due to day visitors filling up the beaches. The hillside villas are impressive with great views and modern amenities. However, the beach and water conditions were disappointing, with visibility low for swimming and sports. The staff were excellent, and I enjoyed the dining options despite some addressing that could be improved.
